Inauguration of West Semarang SPAM PPP Project Cooperation



Finance Minister Sri Mulyani and PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono inaugurated the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project of West Semarang Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Semarang – Central Java. This project is a PPP project between the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) of Tirta Moedal, West Semarang City as the Person in Charge of the Cooperation Project (PJPK) and PT Air Semarang Barat as the Implementing Business Entity.

The purpose of this project is to provide drinking water to 31 urban villages in 3 sub-districts in Semarang, namely West Semarang, Tugu, and Ngaliyan. This project is expected to resolve the clean water crisis and reduce groundwater use in the city of Semarang.

In this PPP project, PT SMI has a role:
1. As the executor of the Ministry of Finance’s assignment in providing project development facilities & transactions.
2. Ensuring this project meets the appropriate level of feasibility – feasible, bankable, compliance.
3. Ensure the auction process for a fair, transparent & competitive business entity.
