Inaugurated Konawe Hospital, Sri Mulyani: Tax Money is Returned to The People

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani inaugurated the soft launch of the Konawe Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Konawe District, Southeast Sulawesi Province on Wednesday 29 August.

“The money you pay through taxes will be returned to the people in the form of public and social facilities that can be enjoyed by the public.” said Sri Mulyani quoted by Okezone from his official Instagram on Thursday (08/30/2018)

Sri Mulyani said that the construction of this hospital was cooperation between the government and business entities. In this case between the Regional Government of Konawe and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur, an SOE is under the coordination of the Ministry of Finance.

“The funding for this hospital includes the construction of a health service building and inpatient care as well as the procurement of medical devices.” he continued

The construction of the Konawe Regional General Hospital also has a positive social impact on the community, namely increasing the income of merchants around the Konawe Hospital up to 300%, absorption of more than 600 workers, and an increase in the price of land around the hospital by 2 times.

“We hope that with this modern building and good medical facilities, hospital services will also be better. Thus the community can truly feel the benefits of the existence of this hospital.” he said.
