Signing of the Light Rail Transit/LRT Loan Agreement of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (Jabodebek)

The signing of the Light Rail Transit/LRT Loan Agreement of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (Jabodebek) between PT KAI and PT SMI and 11 banks consisting of Bank Mandiri, BNI, BCA, CIMB Niaga, Bank BRI, MUFG, Bank Mega, KEB Hana Bank, Bank DKI, Shinhan Bank Indonesia and Bank Sumut amounting to Rp19.25 trillion. The signing was done in the presence of three ministers, namely Minister of Transportation, Mr. Budi Karya Sumadi; Minister of Finance, Mrs. Sri Mulyani Indrawati; and the Coordinating Minister for the Ministry of Marine Affairs, Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. The Jabodebek LRT project which has a total project value of Rp29.9 trillion and a total length of 42.34 km is included in the National Strategic Project which is the concept of Nawacita from President Joko Widodo. As a catalyst in accelerating national infrastructure development, PT SMI participated in financing the construction of the Jabodebek LRT project by lending PT KAI Rp1.92 trillion, which is part of a syndicate of Rp19.25 trillion. In addition, PT KAI also received support from the Government of Indonesia as a PMN of Rp7, 6 trillion for the construction of the project.
