ADFIAP International CEO Forum XVII Participants Enjoy the Charm of Balinese Culture

PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) or PT SMI pampered the participants of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and Pacific (ADFIAP) International CEO Forum XVII with the diversity of Balinese culture on the last day of the forum, namely Friday (8/11) in Penglipuran Village, Bangli.
Penglipuran Village itself is included in the popular destinations and must be visited when visiting Bali because it has several unique features. One of them, this village was named by UNESCO as the 3rd cleanest traditional village in the world.

Director of PT SMI Aradita Priyanti said that the activities on the last day of the forum were one of the company's efforts to introduce Balinese culture to participants who came from various countries.

"So besides us being the host for ADFIAP, which since the last two days has been full of discussions related to the initiatives of Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) and collaborations with DFIs in Asia-Pacific, on this third day we also want to introduce Balinese culture. Participants can be more relaxed today, can see the richness of Balinese culture, and can even shop for local products," he said when met at the event.

Aradita said that the culture introduced to the participants of the ADFIAP International CEO Forum included getting to know the history or traces of heritage in Bali, to unique culinary delights that must be tried, such as Loloh Cemcem to Tipat Cantok.

"So the hope is that the participants can get to know more about Indonesian culture, and also be able to melt and strengthen relationships with the participants," he said further.

After the visit to Penglipuran Village, the participants were invited to have lunch at Taman Dedari, a restaurant located in Ubud, Gianyar, and were presented with a magnificent view of four large angel statues about 10 meters high.

After that, the participants were also introduced to the process of making various processed products from local grape farmers at the Sababay Factory located in Blahbatuh, Gianyar. Sababay empowers around 40 grape farmers in the villages of Banjar, Seririt, Gerokgak, and Buleleng to get the best quality grapes.

The ADFIAP International CEO Forum XVII will be held on November 6-8, 2024 with PT SMI as the host. This year's forum is themed "Building a Sustainable Future: The Crucial Role of DFIs in a Low Carbon Development Agenda".

This forum brings together the president directors of development banks and financial institutions that are members of ADFIAP to dialogue, exchange ideas, and collaborate on current issues related to sustainable development.

This year's forum was attended by more than 150 participants who are members of ADFIAP, stakeholders of PT SMI, and special invited guests.

ADFIAP is an association whose members are development banks and financial institutions involved in financing development in the Asia-Pacific, which has been established since 1976.

Through membership in ADFIAP since 2016, PT SMI has been able to expand its network and build relationships with other financial institutions to collaborate and contribute to sustainable development.
