Grand Launching Indonesia Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) Country Platform

The Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Finance officially launched the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) Country Platform, a main form of coordination and driving force to promote a fair and affordable transition in Indonesia for the energy sector. The launch was carried out by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia - Sri Mulyani Indrawati together with the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Masatsugu Asakawa, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) - Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, and Representative from the World Bank - Axel van Trotsenburg, at the Side Event of the G20 Leaders' Summit in Bali (14/11), where previously PT SMI had been appointed Country Platform Manager in July 2022.

Later, it is hoped that the Country Platform will also be a good signal to the whole world that Indonesia is capable of being a pioneer in a fair and affordable transition from fossil fuels to environmentally friendly energy.

During the Grand Launching of the ETM Country Platform, an MoU Signing activity was also held between PT SMI and 14 partners, as well as panel discussions to discuss energy transition.
