PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) Conducted Socialization to 20 Local Government Related Transfer of Assets From Government Investment Unit of Indonesia (GIU/PIP)

As a follow-up of the asset transfer from the Government Investment Unit of Indonesia/Pusat Investasi Pemerintah (GIU/PIP) to PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) ("PT SMI"), which was set out in Article 23a, Act No. 3 of 2015 on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2015, PT SMI together with the team from GIU/PIP conducted serial socialization programs, related to the preparation of the asset transfer , to the Local Governments. This socialization programs had been conducted since end of April 2015 until early June 2015 and was attended by the Head of the Regions, the element of Regional Work Units, Regional Assets and Financial Management Agency, Regional Development Planning, as well as representatives of the Regional Parliament Members. The programs were held in 20 regional governments as follows: 1.            Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi 2.            Provincial Government of South Sulawesi 3.            Provincial Government of West Sulawesi 4.            Palu City Government 5.            Gorontalo City Government 6.            Bandar Lampung City Government 7.            City Government of Padang 8.            Mukomuko Regency 9.            Karangasem Regency 10.          East Lombok Regency 11.          Central Lombok Regency 12.          Temanggung Regency 13.          Bulukumba Regency 14.          South Halmahera Regency 15.          South Lampung Regency 16.          Boalemo Regency 17.          Bangkalan Regency 18.          uton Regency 19.          South Coast Regency 20.          Muna Regency At the same time, we also visited some infrastructure projects in the regions currently funded by GIU, among others, market development projects, hospitals, roads, terminals, etc. Having this asset transfer, from PT SMI’s services to Local Governments will not be limited to the financing of infrastructure projects (through Financing and Investment pillar), but also the assistance to local governments in preparing qualified infrastructure projects, through PT SMI two other business pillars, namely Project Development Services and Advisory Services. Through the total solution provided by PT SMI, it is expected that the infrastructure development in the regions will be accelerated and therefore supporting the national infrastructure develpment as well.
