Regional Diagnostic

Regional Diagnostic is an in-depth study of the socio-economic conditions of regions. This study supports PT SMI's role as a development financing institution and strengthens PT SMI's financing to sub-national governments. In 2023, regional diagnostic studies were conducted for five regions: Riau Islands Province, Gianyar Regency, Banjarbaru City, Bitung City, and Palangkaraya City. In 2024, regional diagnostic studies conducted for five other regions: West Java Province, South Kalimantan Province, Bogor City, Solok City, and North Morowali Regency.

Regional Clustering

Regional Clustering is a study aimed at grouping regions based on socio-economic conditions and fiscal capacities across regions. This study aims to help the government and PT SMI design more targeted financing policies and strategies according to the characteristics of each region. This grouping is done considering the difficulty of finding a "one size fits all" policy for all sub national governments in Indonesia.

Sectoral Infrastructure Study

Sectoral infrastructure studies focus on specific infrastructure sectors. Some sectors studied include hospitals, waste management, and water sectors. In conducting sectoral infrastructure studies, PT SMI collaborates with credible universities and research institutions in their fields.

Macro Economy

The macro economy unit within the Economic Research Division functions to prepare or analyze macroeconomic indicators to support other divisions.

Socio-Economic Impact

The Infrastructure Financing Impact Evaluation Study aims to measure the impact of infrastructure financing related to PT SMI's functions using input-output (IO) and interregional Input-Output (IRIO) tables. Some studies conducted by PT SMI include:
