SMI prepares nearly IDR 1 trillion to pay off two maturing debts
PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) or SMI provides financing to several regions in Indonesia to encourage equitable development. The total financing that has been distributed reached IDR 38.98 trillion as of September 2024.
"Here we would like to report that the total commitment until September 2024 has reached almost IDR 39 trillion," said SMI President Director Reynaldi Hermansjah in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Tuesday (11/19/2024).
That is public financing distributed through the Regional Economic Recovery (PEN) scheme and regular regional financing. Each has been distributed worth IDR 35.27 trillion and IDR 3.7 trillion.
"The distribution of the area can be seen to be quite extensive," explained Reynaldi.
The loan money was used by the regional government for various developments in the hospital, road, and market sectors. For example, for the construction of the North Sulawesi Provincial Hospital Class B with a loan value of IDR 300 billion for construction, IDR 15 billion for landscaping and IDR 25 billion for complementary services.
In addition, for the construction of the Al Ihsan Hospital in West Java Province with a loan value of IDR 34.97 billion, and for the construction of Bauntung Market in Banjarbaru City with a loan value of IDR 104.5 billion.
"These financings have a real impact on the community and the surrounding environment," said Reynaldi.
