PT SMI in performing its role as a catalyst for Indonesia's infrastructure development has always prioritized the improvement of social and economic benefits that can be enjoyed by all stakeholders, including communities domiciled adjacent to the location of infrastructure projects financed by PT SMI. In fact, PT SMI has set out the program "Desa Bakti untuk Negeri", a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and the implementation of Environmental Social Safeguard (ESS) for Sukoharjo Village community, Pabelan Sub-district, Semarang District, Central Java Province. The "Desa Bakti untuk Negeri" program focuses on providing: 1. Village Institutional Strengthening Program (Training of Village Government Officer and Village Profile Creation) 2. Local Economic Empowerment Program (Strengthening Agricultural Productivity and Women's Empowerment) 3. Sustainable Program (Creation of Village Spatial Plan Map, Climate Change Adaptation Program, Water Resources Rehabilitation Program, and Cultural Site Management). In the success of "Desa Bakti untuk Negeri" program, PT SMI is not running alone, the program is also supported by relevant stakeholders, namely local government, non-governmental organizations, village communities, and other community elements. The "Desa Bakti untuk Negeri" program is one reflection of the synergy between PT SMI and its stakeholders in empowering the potential of the community and helping to build the nation's competence.
