Synergy of PT SMI and Ministry of Health Boosts Health Infrastructure in Indonesia

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, the Board of Directors of PT SMI held a strategic meeting with the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin and his staff to formulate optimal steps in accelerating the development of the health sector.

PT SMI and the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) also discussed the provision of facilities to Public Service Agencies (BLU) in various Hospitals managed by the Kemenkes.

Other important discussions include:

• Acceleration of PT SMI financing
• Discussion of financial reports of three pipeline hospitals (RS), namely Dharmais Hospital, Sitanala Hospital, and Ngoerah Hospital
• Collaboration of PT SMI with global donors
• RSUD funded through a blended finance scheme from PT SMI

The Board of Directors of PT SMI who attended this discussion were Reynaldi Hermansjah - President Director, Faaris Pranawa - Director of Public Financing and Project Development, Sylvi J. Gani - Director of Financing and Investment, Pradana Murti - Director of Risk Management, and Erdian Dharmaputra - Head of Public Financing Division 1.

The health sector is one of the main priorities and ranks second in PT SMI financing. With a total commitment value reaching IDR 5 trillion, PT SMI has financed 72 RSUD projects spread across several regions in Indonesia. This meeting is expected to strengthen cooperation between PT SMI and the Ministry of Health in improving more affordable and equitable health services in Indonesia.
