Dissemination of Regional Diagnostic Study by SMI Institute together with LPEM FEB UI

Each region certainly has different potentials and challenges. This needs to be realized by policy makers, especially in terms of infrastructure development, to ensure that infrastructure has an impact on regional progress and welfare.

In line with this, the Economic Research Division of PT SMI through the SMI Institute and LPEM FEB UI conducted a study that was presented at the Regional Diagnostic Study Dissemination event held by PT SMI on December 19, 2024.

This study diagnoses the potential, opportunities, and challenges of 5 regions in Indonesia, namely South Kalimantan Province, West Java Province, Bogor City, Solok City, and North Morowali Regency.

This dissemination event was held to:

• Disseminate the results of the study from the SMI Institute and LPEM FEB UI to internal parties of PT SMI and related stakeholders
• Support local governments in carrying out data-based strategic planning in the infrastructure sector by understanding the social, economic, and political conditions of the region
• Support efforts to strengthen PT SMI's research-based public financing

PT SMI through the SMI Institute is always committed to contributing through collaboration with various parties and various research activities so that PT SMI's public financing can have a positive impact on regional progress.
