PT SMI Records an Increase in the Value of Financing and Investment Commitments of IDR 134.85 T

PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) or recorded an increase in the value of the company's financing and investment commitments to Rp 134.85 trillion or a 15.29 percent growth until March 2022. Closing 2021 well in line with the economic recovery, where financing commitments were able to reach Rp 136 trillion or experiencing a growth of 16.5 percent, said President Director Edwin Syahruzad at the online Media Meet Up Semester I of 2022, Thursday, April 21, 2022. In addition, the outstanding value of financing and investment increased to Rp. 78.96 trillion or grew 11.52 percent YoY compared to March 2021. Until March 2022, the multiplier effect generated was 5.58 times the commitment and 25.33 times the paid-in capital. In addition, it is present to support financing to Regional Governments, including the National assignment (PEN) to Regional Governments (PEN Pemda). The total outstanding financing to local governments reaches Rp. 27.05 trillion with a total commitment value of Rp. 44.74 trillion or each an increase of 132.2 percent and 69.35 percent YoY from March 2021 to March 2022. As a development finance company, until March 2022 it has recorded financing to Regional Governments with an outstanding value of IDR 27.05 trillion or a growth equivalent to 132.2 percent .

12 Furthermore "This proves that financing activities to local governments are a source of growth in the midst of an uncertain situation," said Edwin.

Sharpening its role as a Development Financial Institution (DFI), PT SMI seeks to support the government's commitment to achieve the Net-Zero Emission target.

This is realized through the SDG Indonesia One (SIO) platform which encourages synergies with multilateral and philanthropic institutions to support environmentally friendly development projects.

One of the main focuses in supporting the renewable energy sector is that until March 2022, PT SMI has financed 45 climate-related projects with a cumulative commitment of IDR 11.8 trillion and a project value of IDR 79.6 trillion.

One of PT SMI's real actions in early 2022 in order to encourage the provision of green infrastructure, namely through the provision of a bond financing facility or Credit Enhancement Facility (CEF) of IDR 750 billion to PT Tamaris Hydro. This is in the context of the development of the Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTM) project.

CEF is intended to support PT Tamaris Hydro in issuing corporate bonds, so that it is expected to increase the rating instrument and increase investor confidence in the bonds issued.
