Synergy between Ministry of Finance and PT SMI to Strengthen Energy Transition

The Government of Indonesia through Ministry of Finance together with PT SMI continues to strengthen the implementation of the energy transition through the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) Country Platform.

In a meeting that took place in the United States with philanthropists and financial institutions that joined the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) which took place at the Bloomberg Philanthropies New York office on (06/10), Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia - Sri Mulyani Indrawati and President Director of PT SMI - Edwin Syahruzad explained about PT SMI's current role as Country Platform Manager for ETM Indonesia, one of which is the need for blended finance in terms of funding sources which are expected to come from a combination of Indonesian government funds through specific schemes, multilateral funds, and commercial funds. either through loans or capital market instruments.

Through this meeting, it is hoped that concrete support from various parties can be realized through PT SMI as the Country Platform Manager for ETM Indonesia to encourage the acceleration of the achievement of reducing carbon emissions in Indonesia and efforts to overcome climate change, especially in the energy sector.
