Collaboration of PT SMI, PT PLN, and KfW for the Energy Transition

PT SMI has signed a Head of Agreement (HoA) with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) and Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW) at the 28th UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) , Sunday (3/12).

The signing was carried out by the President Director of PT SMI - Edwin Syahruzad, the President Director of PT PLN - Darmawan Prasodjo, and the Director of Corporate Strategy and Sustainability  KfW - Jurgen Kern, and also witnessed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia - Sri Mulyani Indrawati.

This collaboration between PT SMI, PT PLN and KfW is a real effort to accelerate the energy transition in Indonesia. One of them is through providing project preparation assistance for the Grindulu Pumped Storage (4x250 MW) and Sumatra Pumped Storage (2x250 MW) hydroelectric power plants, which are the scope of this agreement.
