One of the development missions in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of South Halmahera Regency in 2016-2021 is to accelerate infrastructure development to support regional development and develop a regional economy based on strategic areas.
For this reason, the Regional Government of South Halmahera Regency plans to build the Tuakona Panambuang Business Zone. This area was built to support the development of the Minapolitan area on Bacan Island and to accommodate the growing economic activities in the South Halmahera Regency. This area is located near the Panambuang fishing port and the port of the Kuppal people.
The area of land to be used for the development of this area is 6 ha and will be built traditional markets and modern markets along with supporting infrastructure facilities such as parking lots, public transportation terminals, and others.
